Prize Lay - What is it ?

This is a system for horse racing in the U.K. and Ireland. It covers all types of racing - Flat,  National Hunt and All Weather and is specifically targeted for betting on horses to LOSE a race. In the racing fraternity this mode of betting is called Laying, as distinct from the normal and traditional  method of Backing. This form of betting is available through betting exchanges. The ultimate aim of the system is to make consistent profits from racing.

         Success Story - Impressive Results

Before you read further, this is a summary of the results of the Prize Lay system since June 2007. These results reflect staking to win £100 on each selection and after deducting 5% commission to the betting exchange. Only five losing months in the last 48. How many systems do you know can better these results ?

  June 2010 - profitable again - 71 selections - 62 winners -  87.3 % strike rate

   July 2010 - showed another profit - 40 selections - 36 winners - 90% strike rate

August 2010- not so good but still a profit of £435- 80 selections - 68 winners

  September 2010 - yet again !! 35 selections, 32 winners - profit £ 1385

October 2010 - big disappointment : after a 18 consecutive winners we got 5 losers           in the last week of the month. However, a profit is still a profit - £145

November 2010- an almost perfect month : 27 selections, 26 winners - £ 1891 profit

December 2010 - Fewer meetings and horses made it a very difficult month but at best a small profit of £ 45

January 2011 - Bad weather affected racing again - only £ 440 profit

February 2011 - Another poor month's racing but still a profit of £ 315

March 2011 - A good month with £ 1295 profit and 25 winning selections out of 27

April 2011 - Yet again ! 37 out of 41 selections successful - 90.24% strike rate

May 2011 - Best month this year - 44 out of 49 selections successful - £ 1680 profit

ALL THE RESULTS BELOW ARE COMPILED ON MANUAL PLACEMENT OF BETS, NOT INVOLVING THE USE OF BOTS WHICH USUALLY, BUT NOT ALWAYS, PRODUCE HIGHER RETURNS.

                                          Extraordinary System Bonus

The performance of the Prize Lay system is continually monitored and results are analyzed to  improve its already outstanding results.  In September 2009 there was an unusually bad run of results ( the first in 15 months).

This investigation highlighted that a high level of selections that WON their races were heavily supported in the market and ended up as low priced favourites below the Racing Post tissue price.  This was in contrast to the
Prize Lay criteria which indicates horses least likely to win. We can only assume that in ,these cases, the connections have more confidence in the horse's prospects of winning than are indicated by the Prize Lay criteria or the initial market expectations.

From October 2009 any Prize Lay selections which became low priced favourites in the market were BACKED to win. The success of this change in strategy has been quite remarkable and added substantial additional profits to the Prize Lay system
